Also, the club is considering creating a horse camp on the Epic Trail near Filley Road in Hadam where there used to be a sand pit. Anyone interested in helping with that please contact Jodie Gebhard  at the above link.
A small group of LCRVHC members went horsecamping a couple of times at Pachaug last year and had a wonderful time both times. We're planning to do much more this year and go to other sites: Escoheag, Natchaug and possilbly New Hampshire/Vermont/ and New York State. If you're interested email Jodie at jgebhard@sbcglobal.net. We won't start until Mayish.
These are some of the things we are planning for this year:
1) Talk to the Forestry Department about creating a new camp on the Epic Trail
2) Organize at least 3 group campouts and more small ones.
3) Provide helpful hints for successfull camping experiences.
